My Therapeutic Approach
My philosophy emphasises taking proactive, solution-focused steps to create the life my clients desire. I encourage clients to live by the motto. “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
I help clients overcome the following roadblocks to overcome their challenges:
Self-Criticism: Excessive self-criticism can be mentally debilitating. I help clients develop a healthier internal dialogue.
Lack of Steps: I provide concrete steps to achieve goals, moving beyond mere hope.
Risk Aversion: I encourage clients to rethink risk and build courage.
Skill Gaps: Identifying and acquiring necessary skills is key to progress.
Discomfort Tolerance: Learning to manage discomfort is crucial to avoid avoidance behaviours.
Isolation: Success is easier with support. I offer the guidance clients need whilst providing vital encouragement and advocacy for them.
Unrealistic Self-Assessment: Helping clients balance confidence and skills in a realistic manner, helps avoid both mistakes and inaction.
My approach with clients works towards:
• Helping them to recognise the narratives of their conscious and unconscious mind.
• Differentiating between what they can and cannot control.
• Avoiding blame and or regret and focusing on actionable steps for change.
• Identifying and bridging skill and knowledge gaps.
