A phobia is defined as an irrational fear. The most common ones we deal with are the fear of flying, heights, spiders, snakes, birds, various other animals, and social phobias. They can all be very debilitating if sever enough. Typically someone suffering from phobias is likely to also lean towards being a bit of a worrier, and so more generalised anxiety also needs to be dealt with.
No matter what it is or how long you have had it, all phobias are rooted in a fear-based anxiety that can be dealt with easily with some simple techniques. You do not have to “just live with it.”
