Most of our reasons for responding to things in the way that we do, are unconscious, so we are not aware. Hypnotherapy, is a gentle way of helping you explore, and communicate with the part of you that makes those decisions. Helping you understand what is happening, and helping you find new ways to manage and make sense of the things that used to feel overwhelming. With hypnotherapy, you are always in control, and research shows that by adding hypnotherapy to our sessions together, your ability to make the changes you want to make, increases dramatically.

I believe that all human beings have the potential to lead happy and fulfilling lives. The issue is that as kids we don’t know how the world works or who we trully are, and so we’re reliant on the world around us: family, friends, schools, experiences, media etc. to help us make sense of who we are, and how best to respond to life. From there we build a map of life, a guide book, with rules and beliefs, that aren’t always accurate. And at times these rules and beliefs can interfere with our sense of safety, and our sense of who we are. I help you explore that map. And then, using hypnotherapy, we work together to find new ways to deal with the situations you face, and unlock the potential you have.
Our first session together will be 90 minutes to 2 hours, and this helps us to get a clear picture of what is happening for you. From there I design a hypnotherapy session that is personalised to you, so that it has meaning, and can help you start to make the changes you want to make.
Follow up sessions will be 60 minutes. And these are designed to continue that journey together, and to get you to the place where you notice those changes.
All of our sessions will be online, and one of the biggest benefits of using a video platform to provide therapy, is that you can have your sessions from wherever you choose. I will always conduct these sessions from a private space, where we won’t be disturbed or overheard, and of course that is my recommendation to you. However, it does mean that you don’t have to travel, and that you can take part in our sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Having conducted many online sessions since 2021, the experience for me, and the feedback from clients, has always been that it’s like being in the room together. Nothing is lost, and I have the opportunity to share resources with you, by sharing my screen.

I can’t say enough good about Jonathan Smith and New Day Strategic Therapy. On my 1st visit I told Jonathan that I was at the end of my tether. I don’t really know now what that meant but I know I was finding everyday life difficult, I was frustrated and unhappy. This is my weird way to describe it: -
I was a beautiful jigsaw and had tripped myself up and knocked the table over. There were pieces everywhere. Jonathan helped me find the corners, then the sides and now we’re filling in the beautiful detail, reminding me of my magnificence.

Traditional therapies have their place however simply are not as effective as Strategic Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Traditional solutions will often keep a person in endless numbers of sessions, ruminating over an unchangeable past. I work with you to create a tailor -made Life Empowerment Therapy (LET) program unique to you and your life and situation.
LET is a unique combination of strategic psychotherapy and clinical hypnosis that draws on the knowledge of neuroscience to support deep and sustainable change to how you feel, think and interact. It is future and outcomes focused, effective, time efficient, gentle and safe.
STRATEGIC PSYCHOTHERAPY is a type of psychological therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the multi -facets of specific problems or issues in a specific and goal-oriented manner.
It does NOT focus on the WHY you have the issue ( as you cannot change the past)

CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY is a therapeutic technique where the therapist guides you into a state of deep relaxation and focused attention in order to facilitate psychological or behavioral changes. By tapping into your sub- conscious new thought patterns and beliefs can be more deeply processed and so able to be used and become sustainable new ways of being for you.
During hypnosis you WILL be aware of everything the therapist is saying and will NOT say or take on board anything you do not want to.
We DO NOT take you back to the past, we focus on empowering you into the future so you have control of how you are seeing and interacting with the world.
TIME EFFECTIVE- You will see change in 1-2 sessions and most people need only 5-6 sessions to have completely overcome the issue.
RELAXING – 60 mins of talk therapy can be exhausting and confronting
In LET sessions, we spend 15 minutes in discussion at the start and end of a 60 min session, and you will spend 30 minutes in a state of relaxing but transformational hypnosis.
I work with clients for a minimum of 4 X 60 minute sessions. With my Life Empowerment Therapy you will see significant and rapid change and NOT be tied to months and months of traditional talk therapy.
